Space City Panteras, jointly with the Houston Chapter of the Ferrari Club of America, the Lamborghini Club Texas, the Pantera Club of North Texas, and the Fiat Club of North Texas, are proud to announce a new all Italian automotive event: The Italian Automobile Festival of SpeedTM. IAFS-2004 will be held February 27-29, 2004 at Texas World Speedway in College Station, Texas. IAFS represents a departure from the Pantera-only focus of previous Space City Panteras sponsored track events (The Southwest Pantera Extravaganza) toward a new venue featuring the entire range of exotic Italian automobiles including Detomaso, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Fiat, Maserati, Alfa Romeo, Lancia, and others.
The Italian Automobile Festival of SpeedTM activities for 2004 are intended to stir excitement in all automotive enthusiasts. IAFS-2004 activities include; an arrival reception, an Italian-only car show within the confines of the Texas World Speedway (TWS) track facility, organized spirited drives through forested countryside, a tour and wine tasting at the Messina Hof Winery, and an awards dinner featuring authentic Italian cuisine at Cenare's. IAFS registration also includes an 8X10 photographic print of each marque taken on the TWS front straight by professional photographers. For the ultimate high performance driving experience, either one or two days of driving instruction and track time are offered at substantially reduced rates on the challenging 2.9 mile road course at Texas World Speedway.
The Italian Automobile Festival of SpeedTM registration form and event schedule are available below. Event activities are offered 'ala carte' style – you choose those activities that you most want to participate in. To register for IAFS-2004, print the registration form, select your preferred activities, and then mail the completed form and payment to the address listed - and you’re all set. A $15 per person late fee will apply to all registrations made after Feb. 15, 2004. IAFS discounted hotel accommodations have also been arranged, however space is limited, so make your reservations soon (mention IAFS when booking).
